- Roof leaks stopped (tin for temporary fix till we can afford the natural wood shingles)
- Reconstructed rotted framing on north wall
- Building was moved 5 1/2 miles
- Assembled side addition back into place
- Windows re caulked and broken windows replaced
- Built new porch
- 90% exterior painted done
Exterior work completed:
- Lowered ceiling was removed to show the original ceiling
- Wallpaper removed from lowered ceiling up (11'-15' up wall)
- Patched cracks and holes in plaster where lowered ceiling was, sanded, scrapped
- Patched holes in ceiling from lowered ceiling supports
- repainted from ceiling down
- Floor furnace hole patched as well as some termite damage in flooring replaced
- Located and painted where the original painted on chalk board surface was located
- Interior doors trimmed so they will shut properly (2 doors so far 2 more to go)
- Removed light switches/ panels etc to return the look to the pre-REA era

- Wallpaper removed in East cloak room (on ceiling and walls down to wains coating)
- In West cloak room- preped to paint walls/ ruined ceiling plaster removed (due to
weather leakage) - In East cloak room- ruined plaster removed from east wall (due to weather leakage)

- Finish exterior painting done for now!
- Construct a replica bell tower / insert antique school/farm bell
purchased 11/5/2010. - Set Flag pole (in memory of Rutha Dean Shoffner Glasse) with original
foundation lime stone rock mortared together around the flag pole - Set outhouse in place to use and repaint etc Hole is dug!
- Replace broken window on front of building
- Replace the addition door that is falling apart. Done!
- Finish removing ruined termite damaged flooring throughout
schoolhouse/sand/restain - Install Wood stove Stove installed just need a metal plate to put under it
and get the pipe to install up through the ceiling and weather proof, etc!
- Put new plaster board on West cloak room ceiling and East cloak room East wall Done!
- Patch cracks and hole in east and west cloak rooms mostly done!
- Finish scrapping old paint in East Cloak room Done!
- Repaint Ceiling and walls in both Cloak rooms Ceilings painted
- Finish cleaning paint off door plates throughout schoolhouse
- Install donated brown porcelain door knobs and maintain door knob hardware
It feels so good to see the to-do list get smaller and smaller!!
